Not Much Sleep
So recently I've been getting into bed at around 9-10 and reading, watching YouTube videos, surfing the Internet etc. for about an hour before turning off the lights at around half 10-11 ish hoping to get some much needed sleep. By this time I'm usually quite tired so I put my head to the pillow and wrap my duvet and pillows around me, trying to get comfortable. Half an hour later I'm yawning and I'm still trying to get to sleep. After I realise that I'm not falling asleep I plug in my headphones and start listening to my iPod, hoping some soft, sleepy music will help soothe me to sleep. It doesn't. I lay there for a while longer before looking at my clock, anywhere between one to two hours has passed before I give in, read for an hour and can then finally sleep.
Questions That I answered
1. What is your favourite bedroom - real or fictional?
The one I am living in which I have just redecorated.
2. What is one thing that makes you really mad?
People who are naive the 'outside world' and people who are insensitive to a problem just because it doesn't directly effect or involve them.
3.What do you think of high school sweethearts?
Kind of cute I guess.
4. What do you think of Kanye West?
Obviously, I don't know him but his music is not my cup of tea.
5. When was the last time someone told you a secret - did you keep it?
I can't remember, it was probably my best friend telling me something in which case I wouldn't have told anyone.
6. Name a movie you really saw yourself in.
Restless.
7. What is of outfit of yours that really makes you feel like yourself?
Probably just a baggy t-shirt, a pair of shorts, a pair of tights and my converse.
8. Do you easily get crushes on people and do these cruses show a trend?
I get crushes on people quite easily, then I get to know the person and most likely realise we should just be friends or nothing at all. I usually get crushes on people who are different, funny and have longish hair.
9. How or where do you find peace?
I either have to be outdoors or somewhere neat and tidy to find peace. Reading, listening to my iPod or playing guitar help. However, sometimes when I really need to 'escape' I go for a walk around my village and the woods with my iPod, I tend to just walk until my mind feels fresh, I feel ready to do something productive and all my problems seem smaller.
10. What is your favourite high school movie?
Probably Cyberbully as I really like the message of, "this is how high school can be sometimes". But if I were to talk about favourite high school T.V. show I would say the early seasons of 90210 (as they are set in high school) or Gossip Girl.
11. New York City or Chicago?
New York.
12. Do you prefer seeing films by yourself or with others?
I love watching films with my best friend and I quite like watching films with some of my other friends but everyone has different film tastes and so it is difficult to find a good film whilst with anyone else. I tend to watch more T.V. shows but most films I watch on netflix alone.
13. What's stopping you?
A fear of failure.

Alex Reads Twilight
I haven't been posting very regularly due to going on holiday etc. so you should watch this if you have "holiday boredom".
Watch all the episodes, they are so funny!
Back Now
So I got back from Barcelona the other day and have been buying paint, looking at carpets etc. for redecorating my room since. I am really tired because I haven't been getting much sleep, which isn't great, and also because today I've been removing shelves from my room, moving furniture into the hallway and have, so far, painted two walls. We thought we would be able to remove all the posters and shelves from the walls and get it all painted today but it's starting to look like it will take a another day which means I will have to sleep in the lounge. :)
Thinking of doing some video blogs soon, anyone got any thoughts on that?

Packing Once Again...
At least I'm not going away for as long this time, only a few days and I'm going to a festival and seeing a friend who I haven't seen in a while. Though it's raining really heavily, the festival ground is probably a massive mud bath by now and seeing a friend you haven't seen in ages and won't see again for ages means saying good bye to them at the end. I know I should probably focus on seeing my friend and being grateful that I get to spend time with him but at the same a small part of me is wondering whether it would be easier to just stop replying to his texts and not meeting up with him. Is that the cowardly thing to do? Or am I just protecting myself from the inevitable hurt of saying good bye? This all sounds very dramatic but I am genuinely concerned as to whether seeing someone is worth saying good bye and not seeing them for another year. A lot can happen in a year of not seeing someone.

Silence Speaks Louder Than Words
You know when something hurts you a lot and you feel like those that hurt you just don't understand what they have done? You decide that's the last straw, they are never going to hurt you again. But when they text you a few days later telling you everything was a mistake, you're an amazing person and they want to rekindle your friendship, you just give in because you want to go back to how everything was. In reality, when you message that person back saying you forgive them, it doesn't magically turn everything back to normal, it sets you up to fall again. This has happened to me so many times, each time I forgive someone I've been hurt more and more by them because they learn exactly how to get at me. I refuse to let this happen anymore. I know I have said that a lot, probably every time I've been hurt but this time I honestly mean it. This same person has messaged me twice now, it probably would have been more if I hadn't blocked her on Facebook, and I have restrained myself from replying. I've learnt that the trick is to tell yourself to think of the best comeback and then you can reply, but by the time you've thought of one the moment has passed, or you just don't see any point to it. This way I've put my phone down, left it in my room, put it on silent etc. and gone and had fun whilst the other person sits waiting for my reply. In this situation silence speaks louder than words, I could never begin to explain the hurt I felt over the things certain people put me through, so my silence says it for me.
I'm not saying don't trust people again, just don't let them come too close too quickly because it will probably all end in tears, and it won't be their tears.
Stay strong x

Sleepover!
Yesterday my best friend, Georgia, came round for a sleepover! When she arrived we chatted for a bit, messing around on Facebook and taking goofy pictures and then we read for a while. It isn't the normal thing to do at a sleepover but Georgia and I have quite a quirky friendship. After dinner we went and bought popcorn and settled down to watch a film. The film was called Cyberbully, and it was fantastic. The acting was amazing, the plot was really interesting with lots of twists and it had meaning to it, rather than just being a meaningless romance film for example.
Once in our pjs and snuggled in bed we chatted until one in the morning! Not that it was proper chatting, just immature and funny giggles of sentences strung together. It was great, it is so easy to relax when it's just you and your friend messing around.
In the morning we got dressed and ready before going shopping where we tried on a few clothes but and wondered around but didn't do much. It was just so much fun spending time with my best friend, who is almost like a sister to me. I wish we did stuff like this more often, I didn't realise how good it felt to just hang around with a much loved friend, not doing much and just being yourself without having to impress anyone or conform to social norms. :P
