My dad had his land-rover resprayed so he got it back, we drove around for a while and then put it in storage so it will be safe until my dad next comes to the U.K.
Here are some pictures I took of flowers in vases whilst just messing around. I was just switching up the settings and experimenting.
This is the scariest lift I have ever been in, when you get in it drops a little and creaks and when it moves it sounds like somebody moaning! I tried to take the stairs as often as possible.
Messing around with the aperture settings here. My dad and I stopped for some lunch in a restaurant, where we both soaked up the free Wi-Fi and messed around on our laptops and I took some photos.
So yesterday I got a new camera as a late birthday present from my dad and I love it so much! I take it everywhere and am always messing around with all the features and taking random photos. I'm not very good yet but practice makes perfect!
This is Pedro the fish! My friend is taking care of him for another friend at the minute and she spilled too much fish food into the tank so now the water is all dirty. :/
Went for a walk last night and I thought the light reflecting off of the wet road and pavement was quite pretty, it's also quite spooky for Halloween.
These are just some of the boxes around the house that we are getting ready to move into a storage lockup!
I have some good memories of playing guitar and singing in the summer in this garden, there are lots of weeds and it looks a bit tatty now though.
And this is just me messing around with my camera, pulling faces at myself, the usual.
Recently I have been struggling to be creative, as in I want to be but I think all my ideas are weak or I simply have to ideas at all. I didn't really know how to get round this so I tried to avoid doing creative stuff for a while, which obviously didn't work, tried watching more films, reading more books, watching more YouTube, writing down my ideas, but good creativity was hard to come across. However yesterday I went into Waterstones for the first time in ages, as usually I go to the library or shop online for books, I looked around for ages, reading different passages and pages from random books. And then, I came across the poetry section. I have never loved poetry more! I bought three poetry books (Family Values by Wendy Cope, Selected Poems by Sophie Hannah and Ariel by Sylvia Plath) and To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee (we are studying it at school). I began to read Selected Poems by Sophie Hannah and I could not stop, I feel like the way she writes mirrors the way I often think about things and, especially in her poems about men or relationships, I felt like I was on the same wave-length as her, she just voices her thoughts in wittier and more poetic ways. After reading a whole load of poetry from all three poets I felt really happy and, despite yesterday not being a great day, I felt like the little problems didn't matter as Sophie Hannah had one or two poems that could relate to the things that were getting me down!
After reading a load of poetry I went on Facebook and saw something really quite upsetting to do with a very close friend that I've had for just over a year now. I felt really betrayed and overall let down by them however where I would usually go on Tumblr and mope around until going to bed, I sat down and wrote a song! I think it may just be the second best song I've wrote and I think that's all down to my day of poetry! So thank you poetry for unblocking my creative block. :)
It is my birthday soon which means money which means shopping! I already have a pair of leather, buckled heals like the ones above but I would like to get some new patterned tights, a leather (fake leather) skirt, a new bag and a coat for this Winter. The leather skirt above, from Topshop, is really pricey however it is exactly the style I want, simple and will go with anything. The coat, from H&M, is almost exactly the kind of thing I'm looking for: black, edgy, tomboyish, simple shape etc. And the bag is just gorgeous! I am looking for a new bag right now but I have loads of different styles in mind, every time I go shopping I find a new one I like!
So recently I've been getting into bed at around 9-10 and reading, watching YouTube videos, surfing the Internet etc. for about an hour before turning off the lights at around half 10-11 ish hoping to get some much needed sleep. By this time I'm usually quite tired so I put my head to the pillow and wrap my duvet and pillows around me, trying to get comfortable. Half an hour later I'm yawning and I'm still trying to get to sleep. After I realise that I'm not falling asleep I plug in my headphones and start listening to my iPod, hoping some soft, sleepy music will help soothe me to sleep. It doesn't. I lay there for a while longer before looking at my clock, anywhere between one to two hours has passed before I give in, read for an hour and can then finally sleep.
So I was watching this video the other day and thought it would be fun if I answered the questions and anyone reading this can if they want as well. :)
1. What is your favourite bedroom - real or fictional?
The one I am living in which I have just redecorated.
2. What is one thing that makes you really mad?
People who are naive the 'outside world' and people who are insensitive to a problem just because it doesn't directly effect or involve them.
3.What do you think of high school sweethearts?
Kind of cute I guess.
4. What do you think of Kanye West?
Obviously, I don't know him but his music is not my cup of tea.
5. When was the last time someone told you a secret - did you keep it?
I can't remember, it was probably my best friend telling me something in which case I wouldn't have told anyone.
6. Name a movie you really saw yourself in.
Restless.
7. What is of outfit of yours that really makes you feel like yourself?
Probably just a baggy t-shirt, a pair of shorts, a pair of tights and my converse.
8. Do you easily get crushes on people and do these cruses show a trend?
I get crushes on people quite easily, then I get to know the person and most likely realise we should just be friends or nothing at all. I usually get crushes on people who are different, funny and have longish hair.
9. How or where do you find peace?
I either have to be outdoors or somewhere neat and tidy to find peace. Reading, listening to my iPod or playing guitar help. However, sometimes when I really need to 'escape' I go for a walk around my village and the woods with my iPod, I tend to just walk until my mind feels fresh, I feel ready to do something productive and all my problems seem smaller.
10. What is your favourite high school movie?
Probably Cyberbully as I really like the message of, "this is how high school can be sometimes". But if I were to talk about favourite high school T.V. show I would say the early seasons of 90210 (as they are set in high school) or Gossip Girl.
11. New York City or Chicago?
New York.
12. Do you prefer seeing films by yourself or with others?
I love watching films with my best friend and I quite like watching films with some of my other friends but everyone has different film tastes and so it is difficult to find a good film whilst with anyone else. I tend to watch more T.V. shows but most films I watch on netflix alone.
